55f9479333 bdev: remove spdk_bdev_ext_io_opts from spdk_bdev_io
The spdk_bdev_ext_io_opts structure is used to pass extra options when
submitting a bdev IO request, without having to modify/add functions to
handle new options. Additionally, the structure has a size field to
allow adding new fields without breaking the ABI (and thus having to
bump up the major version of a library).

It is also a part of spdk_bdev_io and there are several reasons for
removing it from that structure:

  1. The size field only makes sense in structures that are passed
through pointers. And spdk_bdev_ext_io_opts is indeed passed as a
pointer to spdk_bdev_{readv,writev}_blocks_ext(), however it is
also embedded in spdk_bdev_io (internal.ext_opts_copy), which is
also part of the API. It means that each time a new field is added
to spdk_bdev_ext_io_opts, the size of spdk_bdev_io will also
change, so we will need to bump the major version of libspdk_bdev
     anyway, thus making spdk_bdev_ext_io_opts.size useless.
  2. The size field also makes internal.ext_opts cumbersome to use, as
each time one of its fields is accessed, we need to check the size.
Currently the code doesn't do that, because all of the existing
spdk_bdev_ext_io_opts fields were present when this structure was
initially introduced, but we'd need to do check the size before
     accessing any new fields.
  3. spdk_bdev_ext_io_opts has a metadata field, while spdk_bdev_io
already has u.bdev.md_buf, which means that we store the same thing
in several different places in spdk_bdev_io (u.bdev.md_buf,
     u.bdev.ext_opts->metadata, internal.ext_opts->metadata).

Therefore, this patch removes all references to spdk_bdev_ext_io_opts
from spdk_bdev_io and replaces them with fields (memory_domain,
memory_domain_ctx) that were missing in spdk_bdev_io. Unfortunately,
this change breaks the API and requires changes in bdev modules that
supported spdk_bdev_io.u.bdev.ext_opts.

3359bf34d6 so_ver: increase all major versions
To allow SO_MINOR updates on LTS for the whole year it is supported,
the major version for all components needs to be increased.
This is to prevent scenario where two versions exists with matching
versions, but conflicting ABI.
Ex. Next SPDK release adds an API call increasing the minor version,
then LTS needs just a subset of those additions.

Increasing major so version after LTS, allows the future releases
to update versions as needed. Yet allowing LTS to increase minor
version separately.

Disabled test for increasing SO version without ABI change, as
that is goal of this patch. This check shall be removed with SPDK 23.05
release.
Looks like this was left over from prior LTS, to avoid that
make sure it is only skipped when running against v23.01.x as latest
release.

This patch:
- increases SO_VER by 1 for all components
- resets SO_MINOR to 0 for all components
- removes suppressions for ABI tests

Short reference to how the versions were changed:
MAX=$(git grep "SO_VER := " | cut -d" " -f 3 | sort -ubnr | head -1)
for((i=$MAX;i>0;i-=1)); do find . -name "Makefile" -exec \
	sed -i -e "s/SO_VER := $i\$/SO_VER := $(($i+1))/g" {} +;  done
find . -name "Makefile" -exec \
	sed -i -e "s/SO_MINOR := .*/SO_MINOR := 0/g" {} +

c22b052b60 bdev/raid0: Support resize when increasing the size of base bdevs
Implement the resize function for RAID0. raid0_resize() calculate the
new raid_bdev's block count and if it is different from the old block
count, call spdk_bdev_notify_blockcnt_change() with the new block count.

A raid0 bdev always opens all base bdevs. Hence, if the size of base
bdevs are reduced, resize fails now. This limitation will be removed
later.

Add a simple functional test for this feature. The test is to create
a raid0 bdev with two null bdevs, resize one null bdev, check if the
raid0 bdev is not resize, resize another null bdev, check if the raid0
bdev is resized.

test/iscsi_tgt/resize/resize.sh was used a reference to write the test.
Using jq rather than grep&sed is better and hence replace grep&sed by jq
of test/iscsi_tgt/resize/resize.sh together in this patch.

ef65d8467c bdev/raid: fix flush on raid0
the calculation (offset_blocks + num_blocks - 1) didn't check if num_blocks is 0
which it is in case of flush.
in flush case, offset_blocks was also 0, so we got (-1) and we got big unsigned number.
just replace it with (offset_blocks + num_blocks - (num_blocks > 0)) to solve the issue.
NOTE this is only fixing the wrong math, there might be more issues that outside the scope of this commit
for example, if flush(x, y) called, no bdev implementation really use those values, and all bdevs just flush the whole disk
also, a convention is that fluch(0, 0) should flush it all (but like I said before, all bdevs flush the whole disk anyway)

8dd1cd2104 check_format: For C files only, fix return type breaks
In SPDK, declarations have the return type on the same line. Definitions
have the return type on a separate line. Astyle has an option for
enforcing this. Unfortunately, it seems to have two bugs:

1) It doesn't work correctly at all on C++ files.
2) It often fails on functions that return enums, or long type names

Deal with 1) by adjusting the check_format.sh script to only tell astyle
to fix return type line breaks for C files and not C++. Deal with 2) by
adding a few typedefs to work around the problem.

488570ebd4 Replace most BSD 3-clause license text with SPDX identifier.
Many open source projects have moved to using SPDX identifiers
to specify license information, reducing the amount of
boilerplate code in every source file. This patch replaces
the bulk of SPDK .c, .cpp and Makefiles with the BSD-3-Clause
identifier.

Almost all of these files share the exact same license text,
and this patch only modifies the files that contain the
most common license text. There can be slight variations
because the third clause contains company names - most say
"Intel Corporation", but there are instances for Nvidia,
Samsung, Eideticom and even "the copyright holder".

Used a bash script to automate replacement of the license text
with SPDX identifier which is checked into scripts/spdx.sh.

df80e8ffc6 bdev/raid: stop the raid bdev in raid_bdev_destruct
The raid bdev may receive IO requests after the raid layer
invokes spdk_bdev_unregister function. This patch moves the
raid_bdev->module->stop to the raid_bdev_destruct function.
Then there will be no IO after the raid_bdev->module->stop
is invoked.
Below is a way to reproduce this issue:
(1) create a malloc bdev
sudo ./scripts/rpc.py bdev_malloc_create --name malloc0 128 4096
(2) create a concat bdev base on the malloc bdev
sudo ./scripts/rpc.py bdev_raid_create --name concat0 \
--raid-level concat --base-bdevs malloc0 --strip-size-kb 4
(3) create a lvstore base on the concat bdev
sudo ./scripts/rpc.py bdev_lvol_create_lvstore \
--cluster-sz 4194304 --clear-method unmap concat0 lvs0
(4) remove the concat bdev
sudo ./scripts/rpc.py bdev_raid_delete concat0
In the step(4), the spdk app will crash because an IO request
is sent to the concat bdev after the concat_stop is invoked.

64eebbd132 bdev/raid: Add concat module
The concat module can combine multiple underlying bdevs to a single
bdev. It is a special raid level. You can add a new bdev to the end of
the concat bdev, then the concat bdev size is increased, and it won't
change the layout of the exist data. This is the major difference
between concat and raid0. If you add a new underling device to raid0,
the whole data layout will be changed. So the concat bdev is extentable.
