Inline function that is only called once. Fix == bashism. Create the filesystems on the partition created by parted rather than on the raw namespace block device. Add 'sync' invocations to make sure data gets flushed to the block device we are testing. Drop the copy-pasted FIO cleanup code (filesystem test does not run FIO).
