510f4c134a Make libvfio-user build reliable on ninja < 1.9
Sadly, before v1.9.0, ninja used per-second granularity timestamps.
This had the unfortunate consequence that a "meson configure"
immediately following a "meson setup" would not be picked up by ninja,
thinking that no regeneration of the build config was needed during
"meson compile". See https://github.com/mesonbuild/meson/issues/3992 for
background and general dismay.

This means that VFIO_USER_CFG_OPTS are ignored 50% of the time,
depending on the wall clock. Unlucky builds would therefore end up with
libvfio-user being built as a shared object (rather than a static
archive) and for installation in /usr/local/lib64 (rather than
/usr/local/lib, as per VFIO_USER_LIB_PREFIX).

This is worked around by injecting a sleep between "meson setup" and
"meson configure" when ninja < 1.9 is in use.

Note that ninja v1.8.2 ships in el8, so suffers from this problem.

db75f4b678 bdev/nvme: Remove admin passthrough retry and failover
Admin passthrough supported retry and failover as same as I/O by
using the bdev_retry_count. However, doing retry or failover for
admin passthrough may have unexpected side effects and its value
is not clear. The safest way is to limit retry and failover for I/O.
If we need to support retry and failover for admin passthrough,
restore the code and add a new option bdev_admin_retry_count.

475b86aa8d print better errors when creating mempools from secondary process
Multiprocess is only supported by a few libraries (e.g. NVMe driver).
Other libraries that don't support it will often fail on mempool
initialization when running as a secondary process, as the mempools are
already created by the primary process. But the error messages are
vague and don't indicate why this happened. So, this patch adds a check
to see if a mempool exists after spdk_mempool_create() fails and prints
an error message informing users that multiprocess is unsupported.

When we specify source address for admin and I/O qpairs,

-EADDRINUSE.

To reuse source address among multiple qpairs, set the REUSEADDR option

We may miss something. Even if rdma_set_option() fails, execute

We can see this app using dd_exit to cleanup.
Some error cases:
spdk_bdev_get_io_channel failed for -ENOMEM,

dd_exit.

For a bdev, dd_exit does cleanup using spdk_put_io_channel.
And spdk_put_io_channel allows `ch == NULL`.
This causes SEGV.

So here add a separate function to check ch, and put
cleanup together.

4300c62167 nvme: add spdk_nvme_ctrlr_disable_read_changed_ns_list_log_page()
Commit a119799b ("test/nvme/aer: remove duplicated changed NS list log")
changed the nvme driver to read the CHANGED_NS_LIST log page before
calling the application's AER callback (previously it would read it
after).

Commit b801af090 ("nvme: add disable_read_changed_ns_list_log_page")
added a new ctrlr_opts member to allow the application to tell the
driver to not read this log page, and will read the log page itself
instead to clear the AEN. But we cannot add this option to the 22.01
LTS branch since it breaks the ABI. So adding this API here, which
can then be backported manually to the 22.01 branch for LTS users
that require it.

Restoring the old behavior is not correct for applications that
want to consume the CHANGED_NS_LIST log page contents itself to
know which namespaces have changed. Even if the driver reads the
log page after the application, that read could happen during a
small window between when a namespace change event has occurred and
the AEN has been sent to the host. The only safe way for the
application to consume ChANGED_NS_LIST log page contents itself
is to make sure the driver never issues such a log page request
itself.

Fixes issue #2647.

9494e8f54c spdk_top: allocate a copy of strings during thread display routine
The display_thread() function is the only one that needs to use a copy
of thread data, as threads might be moved between the cores during
SPDK application lifetime.
To avoid problems with using freed memory in the copied thread
structures, make sure the data is always present, by allocating a copy
of necessary strings. This will ensure that even after we have already
freed the globals holding data from RPC, the pointers used to display
the names and cpumasks will still have something to point to.
