Due to the recent changes for non block size multiples write I/O,
the data digest feature was degraded. If Linux iSCSI host enables
data digest and tries to detect LU from SPDK iSCSI target, data
mismatch error is detected and the connection is disconnected
unexpectedly.
The cause was that pdu->data_valid_bytes was not set for non-write
response PDUs which have a data segment.
iscsi_pdu_calc_data_digest() has been used only for non-write response
PDUs. Hence we did not need to change iscsi_pdu_calc_data_digest().
Restore the original implementation of iscsi_pdu_calc_data_digest().
Additionally, to avoid future degradation, rename the related
functions to iscsi_pdu_calc_partial_data_digest() and
iscsi_pdu_calc_partial_data_digest_done(), and add comments for
clarification.
This fix was verified by the reporter.

Add three parameters, pdu_pool_size, immediate_data_pool_size, and
data_out_pool_size to the RPC iscsi_set_options to run iSCSI target
with little memory.
For some use cases, we want to keep the max number of connections,
but simultaneously we want to reduce the pool size and let I/Os wait
until resource is provided.

If iscsi initialization fails (due to a memory allocation
failure for example), we may not even get to the point
where the g_iscsi global is registered as an io_device.
So then when we tear down the iscsi library using
spdk_iscsi_fini(), we need to make sure we don't
try to unregister g_iscsi if it wasn't registered.
For now, just use the g_init_thread global to make this
determination - it's set just after we register the
io_device.

Some iSCSI initiators send a Data-OUT PDU sequence whose PDUs do
not have block size multiples data.
SPDK iSCSI target had replied SCSI write error to such initiators
because previously we had sent a write subtask per Data-OUT PDU.
SPDK SCSI library had rejected the write subtask because its data
was not block size multiples.
This patch fixes the issue.
The idea is to aggregate multiple Data-OUT PDUs into a single write
subtask up to 64KB or until F bit is set. MaxRecvDataSegmentLength
is 64KB but MaxBurstLength is 1MB. Hence one Data-OUT PDU data may
be split into multiple data buffers, but the maximum number of split
is two.
When processing the data segment of the Data-OUT PDU, save the data
buffer of the current PDU to the current task if the data buffer is
not full and F bit is not set. In this case, write subtask is not
submitted.
When processing the header of the Data-OUT PDU, if the current task
saves the data buffer from the last Data-OUT PDU, it passes the data
buffer to the Data-OUT PDU.
When reading the data segment of the current PDU, attach the second
data buffer to the current PDU if the first data buffer becomes full.
These are enabled only if DIF is disabled.

Wrap an operation to get a data buffer from mempool into a helper
function iscsi_datapool_get() and wrap an operation to put a data
buffer to mempool into a helper function iscsi_data_pool_put().
Use inline for both functions.
Besides, as a minor fix, remove duplicated file inclusion between
iscsi.c and iscsi.h.

Add crc32c to struct spdk_iscsi_pdu and initialize it by SPDK_CRC32C_INITIAL,
and then use it as the initial value of _iscsi_pdu_calc_data_digest().
Separate finalization of crc32c into _iscsi_pdu_finalize_data_digest().
Move the definition of related macro constants from iscsi.c to iscsi.h.
iscsi_pdu_calc_data_digest() is used for read too. So setting
pdu->valid_data_bytes before calling iscsi_pdu_calc_data_digest()
for read.
Data split will be supported only if DIF is disabled, and hence
DIF case is not changed.

POSIX defines PRId64/PRIu64/PRIx64 for printing 64-bit values in a
portable way. Replace a few references to %ld to remove the assumption
about the size of a long. Similarly, use %z with size_t arguments.
Where the value being printed is an unsigned 64-bit value, use PRIu64
instead of %ld.
Explicitly test for not __linux__ where that is the intent, rather
than testing for __FreeBSD__.
Cast pointer to uintptr_t before aligning it, rather than using
a specific integer size which may not be large enough to store a
pointer.

This patch removes the string from register component.
Removed are all instances in libs or hardcoded in apps.
Starting with this patch literal passed to register,
serves as name for the flag.
All instances of SPDK_LOG_* were replaced with just *
in lowercase.
No actual name change for flags occur in this patch.
Affected are SPDK_LOG_REGISTER_COMPONENT() and
SPDK_*LOG() macros.

By the recent refactoring, we have no static size array for outstanding
R2Ts per connection. It looks that we do not have any critical reason
to prohibit us from making max outstanding R2Ts per connection configurable.
There are some use cases to use large write I/O intensively (e.g. 128KB).
Let such use cases change the value of max R2Ts per connection by their
responsibility to do performance tuning.
Maximum outstanding R2Ts per task are defined both for iSCSI target
and NVMe-TCP target but maximum outstanding R2Ts per connection is
unique for iSCSI target.
The next patch will add the corresponding iSCSI option.

It is likely that the raw number 8 in the macro NUM_PDU_PER_CONNECTION
means 2 * DEFAULT_MAXR2T and the raw number 2 means R2T and Data Out, but
is not certain.
On the other hand, the next patch will make the max number of outstanding
R2Ts per connection configurable.
As a preparation to the next patch, add 2 * DEFAULT_MAXR2T explicitly
to the macro NUM_PDU_PER_CONNECTION.
The next patch will replace DEFAULT_MAXR2T by an new variable.

For some use case that there is heavy large read I/O, the performance
bottleneck due to MAX_LARGE_DATAIN_PER_CONNECTION was reported.
The following assumes that all I/Os are large read.
Large read primary task whose I/O size is more than
SPDK_BDEV_LARGE_BUF_MAX_SIZE (=64KB) is split into multiple
read subtasks.
spdk_iscsi_globals::MaxQueueDepth limits maximum number of outstanding
read primary tasks, and MAX_LARGE_DATAIN_PER_CONNECTION (=64)
limits maximum number of outstanding read subtasks.
MAX_LARGE_DATAIN_PER_CONNECTION is also used to calculate PDU pool.
To remove the performance bottleneck, change the macro constant
MAX_LARGE_DATAIN_PER_CONNECTION to a global variable
spdk_iscsi_globals::MaxLargeDataInPerConnection.
We don't see any negative side effect if we set
spdk_iscsi_globals::MaxLargeDataInPerConnection to 64.
The use case that reported the performance issue will change the
value of spdk_iscsi_globals::MaxLargeDataInPerConnection by its own
responsibility.
The next patch will add the value of
spdk_iscsi_globals::MaxLargeDataInPerConnection to iSCSI options,
and make it configurable by JSON RPC.

Poller should return status > 0 when it did some work
(CPU was used for some time) marking its call as busy
CPU time.
Active pollers should return BUSY status only if they
did any meangful work besides checking some conditions
(e.g. processing requests, do some complicated operations).

We will be create fine name for each poller but it will need large
effort. Replacing spdk_poller_register by the macro SPDK_POLLER_REGISTER
will provide better name than function address with minimum effort.

Global session pool had been freed immediately after starting
connection shutdown. iSCSI connection shutdown is asynchronous.
It will be safe to free global session pool after completion of
all connections shutdown. Hence move free(g_spdk_iscsi.session)
from spdk_iscsi_fini() to _iscsi_fini_dev_unreg().

Login acceptor still runs on one of the default reactor threads,
but we move iSCSI poll group from the default reactor threads to
dedicated threads created at startup.
At startup, use reference count to detect completion and
move to the next step. By returning completion message to the init
thread, we can avoid using any atomic operation.
At shutdown, we can use spdk_for_each_channel() conveniently. Put
voluntary spdk_thread_exit() calls into the callback to
spdk_put_io_channel().
Moving login acceptor to a dedicated thread is another task.
To maintain the original behavior, number of threads created is
the number of cores that SPDK app uses.

Error log had been collected if PDU ref count went negative. However,
error log is not easy to notice. SPDK iSCSI target is more stable
than before and SPDK iSCSI task has such assert. Hence replace
error log by assert for PDU.

This patch binds poll groups to SPDK thread through IO channel and
assigns connections to poll groups instead of cores.
iSCSI subsystem registers iSCSI global object as an IO device, and create
poll groups as context of IO channels of the IO device.
Each portal get and hold portal group on which the corresponding acceptor is
running.
When a connection is constructed, iSCSI subsystem assigns a poll group
to the connection by getting it from the corresponding portal.
When a connection enters full-feature phase, iSCSI subsystem schedules
the connection to a poll group by round-robin.
Then, each connection can know its running SPDK thread directly and can
use SPDK message passing infrastructure instead of SPDK event framework.
By this change, iSCSI connections are binded to SPDK thread, and not
binded to processor core anymore.
Some other changes in this patch are
- core ID is removed from the output of get_iscsi_connections RPC. The
upcoming patches will change the RPC to use spdk_for_each_channel and can
access SPDK thread safely, and add SPDK thread ID instead.
- utilize UT multithread framework added by the last patch to test
iSCSI poll groups by UT.

spdk_sock_group_poll() and spdk_sock_group_poll_count() had returned
0 on success. The implementation didn't match the specification
described in the header file, and couldn't be used to collect stats
correctly because 0 means idle.
This patch fixes the return value of spdk_sock_group_poll() and
spdk_sock_group_poll_count() to return number of events and
the callers not to overwrite the return value by 0.

Including tgt_node.h in iscsi.h will prevent us from including
iscsi.h in tgt_node.h. Subsequent patches will require tgt_node.h
to refer the macro constants in iscsi.h.
Hence
- remove inclusion of tgt_node.h from iscsi.h,
- add inclusion of spdk/scsi.h to iscsi.h, and
- remove inclusion of spdk/scsi.h from tgt_node.h

iSCSI is currently being adapted to SPDK's new threading model,
and this parameter doesn't make sense anymore. Remove it for
now until something functionally equivalent is added later.

Right now they can only use memory from the socket
that performed iSCSI static initialization, which
doesn't make sense. Those mempools can be used from
a different socket as well, so don't restrict them
to any specific one.
