Explicitly allocating spdk_bs_dev on init_dev() allows to check if dev_destroy for it was called.
If it was not, then ASAN will provide information on that.

a function pointer that can pass a message to that thread.

Thread sanitizer detected a number of race conditions in this
test. Use a simple lock to pass messages between threads instead
because that's easier to get right.
