nvmf: Rename spdk_nvmf_session to spdk_nvmf_ctrlr This is just a rename - the functionality hasn't changed. Use the same terminology as the specification (which is controller) so those familiar with the specification can more easily approach the code base. This is still conceptually equivalent to a "session" in the networking sense. CONFIG: rename CONFIG_NVMF to CONFIG_RDMA The NVMf target is being refactored to split the RDMA transport-specific code into its own file. Once this is complete, we should be able to plug in other transports and build the NVMf target without any RDMA dependency if desired. To enable this, change the CONFIG option to RDMA; it still controls whether the whole NVMf target is built for now, but once the RDMA dependency is actually made optional, we will be able to build the generic NVMf target code without libibverbs installed. build: cleanup LOCAL_SYS_LIBS for uuid LOCAL_SYS_LIBS is meant to define *direct* system library dependencies for a given library. libuuid is directly used by the SPDK util library and then other SPDK libraries use uuid indirectly through util. So only the util library should include uuid in LOCAL_SYS_LIBS. NVMf: Add a custom(VFIOUSER) transport target support VFIO is a framework that allows a physical device to be securely passed through to a user space process. Typically, the user space process is a VM and the device is passed through to it in order to achieve high performance. VFIO provides an API and the required functionality in the kernel. vfio-user is a framework that allows implementing PCI devices in userspace. SPDK NVMf library provides the emulation of a NVMe device, combined with vfio-user protocol, we can provide the emulated NVMe device to VM or client application, such as SPDK NVMe perf. This patch has dependency on libvfio-user library, users can start NVMe identify/perf examples. Usage: 1. Start nvmf_target. 2.
